Transfer Cost Comparison
Weighted fund/DFM charges and the total cost of a recommended solution, with apportionment and an existing-arrangement comparison.
Policies being transferred in
Add each ceding policy (up to 4). Existing charges are the plan & asset cost, excluding ongoing advice (which migrates with the client).
How it works
Work through four steps: (1) the ceding policies being transferred in — provider, plan number, fund and transfer values, with-profits status and the existing plan & asset charge; (2) the adviser charges (initial and ongoing); (3) the recommended funds, with each fund's allocation and fund/DFM charges; and (4) the cost comparison.
Ongoing charges are weighted by how much is held in each fund to give the blended cost of the solution. The existing-versus-recommended comparison looks at product charges only and excludes ongoing advice (it migrates with the client), so it focuses on the underlying product cost. Turn on apportionment to split the initial advice fee across the transferred-in policies pro-rata by value. All figures are shown to two decimal places.
